Hope you are having a lovely weekend. I too had fun exploring Australian beaches along the Great Ocean Road (GOR). This was a long weekend so we planned to make a road trip. We made the required accommodation bookings in advance and since the weather here changes very frequently we kept a close watch on the variation in GOR temperature (in case the weather went inappropriate for road journey and we needed to defer the trip). Though rain was predicted during both the days we had to stay there still we kept our morale high and made a start – positivity is what we call this enthusiasm to travel :).
The trip commenced at 9:00 am on sunny Friday morning and being vegetarian we ensured to carry as many eatables as we could. The clean and smooth roads led us to speed at 100 kmph, and if you love driving you would know that on roads like these it is quite tempting to fly the car rather than drive it. But the folks here strictly follow traffic rules so we abstained to stay within the permissible limits. After travelling for about 1.5 hours our first stop was after crossing the Anglesea. It was a beautiful place with lush green land, a small place to barbeque, play area for the kids and restrooms. So hungry we were by that time that we did not spend any time in soaking the beauty instead first concentrated on filling our stomachs along with a steaming cup of tea, which we carried with us. After the stomach filling we filled our souls with the splendor around us – spending about half an hour. Amidst green and clean surroundings it does not take me much time in refreshing myself and in fact, that was the case with everybody. We again embarked on the journey stopping only after 2 hours at the mesmerizing Lorne beach. It was windy yet sunny and people were enjoying the cold water playing water-sports. I too had great time seeing the selfless love of tides for shores, listening to the happy screams while sipping hot cup of Australian coffee.
After enjoying for about 2-3 hours we went to 12 Apostles, which is another remarkable work of nature. It has some of the most amazing landscapes, and is a treasure for photography lovers. Mr. Sunny spent a great deal of time looking for best angles. I am adding some of the pictures here so that you would see how invigorating nature can be. Making lasting memories with the time and nature we called it a day off… and took shelter under Australian Fauna. Sounds scary? I will come back with that experience tomorrow.
Till then enjoy the weekend!
Cya tomorrow! Love!
