Hi Everyone,
I am sure you must be preparing up for the spring and summer seasons. In summer season, as much as I love experimenting with makeup looks, I love trying diverse bath products for the refreshing scent. Considering the extreme hot weather of Delhi, it becomes imperative to invest in some decent fragrance products that do not only do their basic work but also provide invigorating aroma. Though I am blabbering about scents a lot yet the subject of this post is in exact contradiction of my liking on that front. Read on to know my experience on my first every Bodycology product.
My Take on ‘Bodycology Sweet Petals Body Cream’
This is my first bodycology product, gifted by SIL. I had heard of lot of raving about this brand’s products but never actually got a chance to use one. So when my SIL gifted me this sweet petals body cream I was head over heels. The packaging looks quite average: made of soft plastic with flowery print. It comes in a flip open tube, which I think makes it hygienic and convenient to use.
Albeit, the regular packaging I find this body cream somewhat different (extraordinary) on certain aspects. For instance, the pearly white texture conveys a sticky feeling but to my astonishment it is not even 10% sticky. I do not even feel like I have applied anything on the body. As soon as I apply it, it just disappears into the skin leaving a very light and soft feel. The fragrance is slightly disappointing. The title of the product expresses a sweet flowery fragrance yet I find it somewhat medicated. I wonder what petals have bodycology used to make this cream.
The squeezable packaging makes it easy to take out the product, and the non-sticky texture ensures that it glides on to the skin effortlessly. The efficacy in terms of providing moisture is commendable. If applied immediately after bath, it does provide 6-7 hours of long lasting moisture. Furthermore, unlike other body creams, sweet petals’ un-sweet fragrance accompanies the moisture. If it had been a pleasant scent, I would embrace it with much more alacrity. Well, it is still tolerable and can be worn for the sake of hydrating the skin.
Being a gigantic tube, it is little difficult to carry in a handbag but if you transfer the contents to a small bottle then you are good to go with it. Plus, for the non-sticky texture it can serve well as a hand cream, and be frequently applied when you are on the go.
What I like about ‘Bodycology Sweet Petals Body Cream’
– Provides long lasting moisture.
– Non-sticky texture.
– Glides smoothly on to the skin.
– Spill-proof packaging.
– Quickly penetrates into the skin, leaving it soft and moisturized.
– Made up of soft plastic, this body cream is easy to squeeze.
– Feels light on the skin.
What I do not like about ‘Bodycology Sweet Petals Body Cream’
– I do not like its fragrance; it is kind of medicated and unfortunately stays on for long.
– The gigantic packaging makes it difficult carry unless you transfer the contents to a travel friendly bottle.
Price of ‘Bodycology Sweet Petals Body Cream’: Approximately $22
Ingredients of ‘Bodycology Sweet Petals Body Cream’:
BABE Rating: 4/5
Final Word: I love this body cream for its efficacy. The only major turn off is the medicated fragrance, which can be overlooked looking at its commendable ability on other fronts. I would not mind going for it for the second time, but I really hope that the brand improve its fragrance.
