Recently I have purchased ‘CoverGirl Smoothers Pressed Powder Translucent Fair’. The product claims that- this silky smooth moisture balancing pressed powder helps absorb excess oil while special light reflecting pigments help minimize the appearance of fine lines and imperfections. This can be worn alone or over foundation to help the look last.

I have been using this compact powder for two weeks now. Let’s see how I find it.

My Take on CoverGirl Smoothers Pressed Powder Translucent Fair

CoverGirl Smoothers Pressed Powder Translucent Fair comes in a blue color case. Like many other compact powders it comes with a white velour puff and a round in-built mirror. The puff is a little hard so I do not find it that much of use. The pressed powder is light beige in color and has a mild fragrance. The powder texture is fine and gives an even look upon application. If used with a powder brush it’s easier to apply, apply it in circular motion avoiding eyelids and eyebrows. The best part I find in this pressed powder is that it’s able to control shine for a couple of hours so requires less touch ups. My T-zone is quite oily so I needed something to matte up the look and this powder seems working quite well. Moreover, it does not give any chalky appearance, blends well with the skin, stays for a longer time and brightens up the face. In last two weeks of regular use I do not even see any breakouts on my sensitive skin.

Overall, I find it a good effective product minus the puff. I am impressed with the finish and glow it brings to my face.
