Eye Makeup Tutorial: Green Smokey Eyes
Hi Everyone,
Hope you are having a wonderful time enjoying the last couple of weeks of chilly weather. Well, I have been having good fun visiting historical monuments and experimenting with all kinds of different eye looks. My latest attempt was creating a green smokey eyes look. The one thing I have observed while creating this look is that one needs to have patience, to create an impeccable look, while working with makeup brushes. More time one spends on each step more perfect shape the overall look attains. Nevertheless, I hope you will like my eye makeup, and in case you plan to recreate it I would love to address the hurdles you may face.
Step 1: Prep up your eyes by applying primer. Spread the primer on entire eye lid and brow bone. Let it set for a couple of minutes before your proceed on to the next step.
Step 2: Take jet black eye liner or kohl and just smear it on 3/4th of your eyelid. We are using kohl to intensify the green shade on eyelid and differentiate it from above the crease coloring. You do not need to be perfect in this step, be as messy as you can.
Step 3: Now, take a flat eye shadow brush to apply green shade on the black-color smeared eye lid. Tap off the excess color from the brush before gently pressing it on the eye. Cover every nook and corner where you have applied the black kohl.
Step 4: For the smoke(y) effect, swirl the eye shadow blending brush on the green palette and apply it above the crease in wiper motion. Do not put too much pressure as that might take off the shadow itself.
Step 5: Highlight the brow bone using a brow highlighter, or an eye shadow that is two shades lighter than your skin tone.
Step 6: Apply kohl on lower lash line, and inside the upper lash line.
Step 7: This is the main step as it has the ability to transform the entire look. Again use the blending brush to cover lower lash line from inner to outer corner. Make sure to tap off the excess shadow before you follow this step otherwise you will end up messing the under eye area.
Step 8: Apply highlighter on inner eye corner.
Step 9: Line up your upper lash line. If you like broad look then I would suggest you to go for gel eye liner otherwise go for liquid.
Step 10: Finally, curl up your lashes. Apply 2-3 coats of mascara on upper and lower lashes.
Once you are done with all the steps clear the fallout from under eye area by taking some loose powder on a puffy brush. Afterwards, apply concealer to cover up the dark circles for that perfect look.
