First Glimpse: Oriflame The One Illuskin Blush Swatches
Hi Everyone,
For a makeup freak, color cosmetics are like a rainbow, where each color is as bright as others. Albeit, we stock tons of makeup products yet our thirst of commissioning more such stuff never satiates. Of lately, when Oriflame launched the ONE blush range in India, I was anxiously waiting to get my hands on these cuties. When the brand graciously sent these products for review, I was head over heels to start using them. Though the occasion has not come so far yet I am looking forward to use them soon. Anyway, the cute blushes come in three different shades: pink glow, luminous peach and shimmer rose.
Shimmer Rose: It contains one soft red shade with pink undertone and other a shimmery version of n*de shade. The n*de shade is empowered with abundant shimmer so would be a good option for highlighting.
Pink Glow: This blush consists of one pink strip with yellow undertones, and other n*de shade with not-so-matte look. The glistening effect is a lot lesser than that of shimmer rose so this one can be used for contouring purpose.
Luminous Peach: The two halves comprise of a peach shade and a shiny cream shade. The cream shade is light and luminous so most of the times I choose it for highlighting.
Packaging: The blushes come in a very compact case, which makes them easy to carry. Like all other the ONE products, the blushes come in a purple color packaging and bears the one logo. The case contains a small mirror, which like most of the other blushes (even of the high end brands) is not of much use except in emergencies. There is no blush brush but I think it does not make any difference as those brushes are rarely used.
Texture: Each case contains two strips: one on pink(ish) or peach tone and other a variant of earthy shade. Both the shades can be used individually or layered to get the perfect glow. The pinkish strip is usually matte and the earthy strip varies from slight to lot glossiness. I prefer using the earthy shade for either contouring or highlighting for night events. Formulated with powdery texture, these blushes seem to work well on oily to combination skin tones.
Pricing: INR 499 for 5g. The best thing is that each blush contains two shades so you get two blushes at the price of 1.
The silky texture of these blushes makes them easy to use. Plus, the two strips make these blushes versatile for office and party wear. For day time or office, one can just wear the matte pink blush. For night time or parties, it can be layered with shimmery shade to get the required shine.
So far, I have not worn these blushes to an extent to write a thorough review on their longevity and lasting power but I am sure I will be able to come with a detailed review after a couple of weeks. The one thing that I have noticed about these blushes while clicking swatch photographs is that these are not highly pigmented. I needed to wear a primer underneath them in order to capture the shades; otherwise even my DSLR camera could go without noticing them. These may behave differently on face, so till the time I come up with the review you enjoy the swatch photos, and let me know your thoughts, if you have already used these blushes.

nice shades and beautifully pigmented too :)
Yes, I like their pigmentation !
I’m in love with this duo blush. I tried this on my brothers wedding and got complimented :) This Blush in pink glow creates a nice warm tone glow when used lightly on my cheeks. It blends seamlessly and doesn’t look overdone! The best thing is one can use the colors on their own or make your own combination if you’re feeling creative. I loved it totally!
You sure do Priya !
