Hi Everyone,
For last few years, I have been continuously using night creams. Night cream has significant role to play in skin rejuvenation and suppleness. You must already know that your skin invigorates more when it is at rest. To maximize the benefit, night cream amplifies the restoration of damaged cells resulting in healthy and younger looking skin. Even a simple moisturizing night cream can bring major difference to your skin, in case you are not in habit of using any. In today’s post, I will share my experience with Forest Essentials night treatment cream Jasmine and Patchouli.
My Skin Type: Oily to combination, acne prone
My Take on ‘Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine and Patchouli’
Forest Essentials Jasmine and Patchouli night cream comes in a luxurious packaging. Seriously, I love how classy FE creams look, and obviously they have to as they come with a sky-high price tag. Jasmine and Patchouli cream is packed in a transparent glass jar that has golden screw cap on top. When you unscrew it, you will find another thin plastic cap on the jar, which is mainly to prevent spillage. The transparent jar helps you in keeping a check on the quantity so that in case you wish to continue its usage, you re-purchase the product well on time- without lapsing in between discontinuity.
The cream is white in color, and smells heavenly. Every time I wear this cream, it makes me feel as if I am wearing a soothing jasmine scent. I like this pleasing fragrance at bed-time as it lightens my mood and helps me in quietly slipping to the dreamy world. But if you do not like strong fragrance creams, you may not like this either.
It has creamy texture and semi-thick consistency. The apt consistency makes it easier to slather the cream and spread it all over. In no time it penetrates into the skin leaving a healthy and moisturized casing behind. Unlike other creams, it does not make my face look oily, greasy or sticky… whatever you call it. Other than the mild moisturizing feel and lovely jasmine fragrance, I do not feel as if I have even applied anything on my face.
For the efficacy, since I have started using this cream my skin has become softer and smoother. It does look healthy and more even. Additionally, as with other creams I do not see that this FE night cream is making my face oilier or drier. There is just the appropriate hydration, which is required for any oily skin tone. This is not a whitening cream so I have not seen any whitening effect. Yes, it does claim to firm up the skin but I have not noticed the effect yet. May be it will require a little longer than 4 weeks to live up to that claim.
What I like about ‘Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine and Patchouli’
– Heavenly Jasmine fragrance.
– Water based cream that is perfect for oily skin.
– It does not leave any sticky feel behind.
– It gets completely absorbed into the skin after a couple of minutes.
– Claims to have been formulated for all natural ingredients.
– Classic luxurious packaging – though it does not have anything to do with the efficacy.
– Evens out skin tone, and gives it a healthy look.
– It feels very light on the skin.
What I do not like about ‘Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine and Patchouli’
– Considering the benefits, it is quite exorbitantly priced.
– It is not suitable for dry skin, in fact they can try it’s another variant that comprises of sandalwood and saffron.
– As claimed it does not work on firming the skin.
Price of ‘Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine and Patchouli’: INR 1595 for 50g.
Ingredients of ‘Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine and Patchouli
Shelf life of ‘Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine and Patchouli’: Around 24 months from packaging.
BABE Rating: 4/5
Final Word: Formulated with natural ingredients this cream provides basic hydration and moisture to ‘normal to oily’ skin. The soothing jasmine fragrance makes it a treat for the skin, and ensures a good sound sleep. Considering the advantages, I think efficacy wise it is just similar to a good moisturizing chemical laced product (for oily skin) except the scent. The high price of FE night cream may be just because of the natural ingredient list, so in case you are a die-hard devotee of natural/organic products you may give this a try.
