Healthy Low Calorie Homemade Soup Recipe
Hi Friends,
After a long time I am lettering an article on a healthy low calorie homemade recipe. I was being lazy of clicking photographs as I had to do that in the busiest time of the day. Once the clicking job is done it becomes a little easy to assemble the photographs and shape them up in the form of an article.
Now, hopping to today’s recipe: Healthy Low Calorie Homemade Soup. I am a big promoter of homemade food as it has many paybacks. I keep pushing people around me to eat home cooked food. Sometimes they get very tired of this assertiveness; in general everybody loves outside food. Well never mind, as long as I know I am supporting the right cause ;-) .
Benefits of homemade food
– You know fresh ingredients have been used.

– You don’t need to worry if the restaurant has a clean hygienic kitchen.
– You don’t need to keep a check on your consumption – eat stomach-full as it’s a low calorie food.
– You don’t need to worry about the bill  .
Ingredients for Healthy Low Calorie Homemade Soup Recipe:
1. Finely chopped spinach.
2. Carrots.
3. Tomatoes.
4. Ginger.
5. Onion.
Procedure
Step 1- Thoroughly wash all the vegetables and cut them all in medium size cubes except ginger. Ginger has to becut finely to ensure it does not come out as a chunk in served soup.
Step 2- Put all these vegetables in pressure cooker and let them simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Step 3- After 12 minutes, remove the pressure cooker from stove and let it cool down.
Step 4- Take out the vegetables, preferably without water. Grind them in a mixer till the mixture becomes semi thick, devoid of all the lumps.
Step 5- Take a saucepan and add half a spoon of cooking oil/salted butter. In hot oil put some cumin seeds and stir them till they become golden brown.
Step 6– Put some semi thick soup liquid into the saucepan. Depending upon the desired consistency of soup, add water. According to taste, add some salt and black pepper. Let this concoction simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Step 7– This is an optional step for diet- unconscious people. Take milk cream in a bowl, beat it well and garnish soup to savor your taste buds.
Step 8- For presentation purpose, you can also add either dahi pakodi or bread crumbs.
Serve it hot and enjoy this healthy homemade soup.
If you want to have this soup later then you can store the semi thick liquid obtained after step 4 in a refrigerator. Sometimes, I keep this in refrigerator for 2-3 days, using it when required.
Enjoy the soup, and stay happy and healthy !
