Hi Everybody,
How are you all doing? Hope you all have a great start of the new-year. Well, my start was really wonderful: parties, dance, food and lots of fun. I enjoyed January to the fullest. Since I did not spend much on shopping yet managed all the events with whatever jewellery and make-up I have. As the time is passing the excitement of the new-year is getting lower and the daily routine is again coming to the same old track. The daily households chores, the job stress, the imperative errands… life is so busy that many of us barely find some time for themselves. Some of us just go on extending their salon visits due to their busy schedule while some don’t even get a thought to visit them. Amidst stressful lives it is equally important to be beautiful as it is to stay healthy. So we should find some way outs to compensate the loss. ;-) Likewise we can do several things at home like manicure, pedicure, cleansing etc. and to do that we should rely upon some decent products and to practice that we should read some nice reviews ;), so here is another one for Today. :dancydancy:
What the product says
This gentle scrub is fortified with Walnut granules that gently exfoliate dead skin cells and blackheads while Apple, rich in natural antioxidants, helps stimulate cell renewal, giving you soft and younger looking skin.
My take on Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub
I have been using the Lotus white scrub since two years, and I was pretty satisfied with it. Out of nowhere I decided to ditch my favorite scrub and try something new. I chose Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub with natural antioxidants. The name itself sounds very fancy so I am sure anybody can fall for it. The product packaging and ingredient list looks quite impressive. It contains walnut shell granules and apples. The walnut shell granules are supposed to remove the dead skin cells whereas apple stimulates the cell renewal. It also contains wheat germ oil, which has the highest vitamin E content, and it also prevents scarring and skin inflammation.
The scrub comes in a squeezable flip open packaging. The packaging is quite convenient and ensures hygienic use of the product. I like the fruity fragrance that encompasses this scrub but I do not like its texture much. It feels little harsh on the skin because of the sharp scrub particles. I always need to ensure extra caution while moving my fingers and putting pressure so as it does not hurt the skin.
Regarding usage, I take little amount of scrub on the finger tips and gently spread it on the damp skin. Then I gently start scrubbing my face with finger tips in clockwise direction. The process goes on face for five to seven minutes before I rinse it off with water. While scrubbing one should not exert extra pressure as it can lead to skin loosening.
Himalaya herbals scrub makes the skin smooth and soft and wears off the dead skin leaving it cleaner than before. But here’s one drawback- if you are looking for a whitening scrub then this is not the product for you. This scrub is for stimulating cell renewal and not for skin whitening or tan removal.
What I like about ‘Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub’
– It removes the dead skin effectively.
– The skin becomes soft and smooth.
– It has a mild fruity fragrance.
– It is an herbal product so fewer harmful chemical effects.
– It does not make skin dry after cleansing.
– The packaging is in tube form with flip top, spill proof.
– It fits the budget.
What I don’t like about ‘Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub’
– Though it removes the dead skin cells, I never find my skin oozing the glow it used to when I was using Lotus white scrub.
– The minute particles are so sharp that one has to be careful while using this product.
– It is a strict no-no for the ones who are fond of skin whitening products.
Shelf life of ‘Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub’: 36 months from mfg.
Price of ‘Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub’: INR 70 for 50g
BABE Rating: 3/5
Final word: This scrub is a good option for the ones who have worn out or dead skin, but it is a definite skip for those who are looking for whitening or tan removal product. It is just a basic scrub so do not expect much from it.

I absolutely love Himalaya products. I have tried this in the past and quite liked it. but yes it definitely didn’t do much for tan removal.
I love Himalaya products and this is quite a good one for the basic exfoliation. I also like Everyuth scrubs.
Sounds like a decent product, but my skin being very sensitive, I stay away from walnut scrubs! Great review :)
I am trying the face wash these days of the same range & I guess I am havin the same feelings…This doesnt do much for me & is seriously not for the sensitive skin! Lovely review :)
