How to do nail art designs at home – Tutorial
Hi Everyone,
Well groomed nails not only enhance beauty but also cast an impression about your personality. Ditching the age-old single color nail polishes, women are drawing towards intricate nail art designs. Nail art is nothing but an artistic drawing of designs and pictures painted on the nails. The main nail art categories are freehand nail art, air brushing nail art, stripes nail art, water marble nail art, glitter nail art, jewel nail art and color bending nail art.
Special tools are available in the market to make the designing part a little easier. Using these tools you can draw the designs on the nails on your own. Also, you can fix an artificial nail with an art design already drawn on it. Although this looks pretty simple but the artificial nails, if fixed at home, do not last long and if you get it done at the nail salons they charge hefty be it artificial nail fixation or regular nail art.
To save all that money I have created a new category: Nail art :-), wherein I will share easy-to-do nail art tutorials to decorate your nails at home. The prerequisites of a spotless nail art are clean and well-shaped nails.
Required Tools
1) Base nail paint.
2) Colored nails paint according to nail art design.
3) A pair of scissors.
4) Cello tape.
5) A pair of tweezers.
6) Top nail paint.
I have named this design ‘The Rising Sun’ :-) Flaunt your nails by using bright colors in this festive season.
Step 1 – To start with, paint your nails with a base coat – apply a neutral color, let it dry then follow further steps.
Step 2 – Choose the base color and apply 2 smooth coats on the nails. Make sure that you choose fresh nail paints; fresh nail paints result in a fine appearance. Let the nail paint dry before you go to step3.
Step 3 – Take cello tape and cut it according to your nail art design. For my nail art design I have cut the cello tape vertically. Before pasting the cello tape on your nails place it first on palm and press hard. This will reduce the stickiness and save any chipping off of base color.
Step 4 – Now, cover your nail portion, where you do not want the second color, with cello tape.Press the cello tape with the help of tweezers mainly at the corners and nail color boundaries.
Step 5 –Now, carefully apply the second nail paint. Let it dry for a minute or so.
Step 6 – Once the nail paint is semi-dried, using tweezers cautiously pull off the cello tape.
Step 7 – Afterwards, once both the nail paints are semi-dry apply a top coat to seal the design. Repeat the same procedure on all the nails and your pretty nail art is done.
This is a simple nail art design; however once you become an expert in simple designs you should follow the complex nail art tutorials ;-) Practice will help you in achieving this level sooner.
Till the time you are practicing this I will write up another nail art tutorial. I am sure you will love that too.
I love your comments, if you like this tutorial please leave a comment.
