How To Fill Eyebrows – Makeup Tutorial
Hi Friends,
Often people have irregular and patchy eyebrows that they find difficult to deal with. Fortunately, it’s not that hard, in terms of time and expertise, to give them an even and regular look. With the help of a couple of makeup tools you can easily get them in shape. However, some people also prefer to go for permanent brow shaping/filling cosmetic treatments. But I would always prefer to go with the temporary brow fillers as that are more natural and easy going.
Before selecting brow fillers you should know your skin and hair color. Eyebrow fillers should match your natural eyebrow shade; at least you should try purchasing a shade as near to your natural look as possible. As per my knowledge, the various types of eye brow fillers include:
Eyebrow Pencil: These pencils are similar to kajal pencils except that they are light textured so as to give a natural look to eyebrows. I have been using Lakme eye brow pencil for years now, and it works perfectly in shaping the eyebrows. Lakme eyebrow pencil comes at a very affordable price – INR 45.
Eyebrow Powder: Loose powders are a good option to fill in your eyebrows. Most of the professional makeup artists skillfully make different shapes of eyebrows using just these powders and makeup brushes. Eyebrow powders require more expertise and a careful handwork to get a neat look.
Eyeshadow: Matte eyeshadows are also a good option to fill eyebrows. All you need is a matte eyeshadow (black or brown), again the choice of shade depends on your natural look, and an angular brush. I feel eyeshadow gives a fine brow shaping, better than by an eyebrow pencil. And, it does not even call for that much expertise, as required by an eyebrow powder.
Prerequisites for filling eyebrows: Your eyebrows must be well shaped- neither too thick nor too thin. You can get them shaped in a salon or tweeze them yourself. The best shape of eyebrows is according to your face structure. Usually, an arc with medium thickness is most sought after.
How to use eyebrow pencil as brow filler
Step1: Choose an eyebrow pencil shade, which is near to your natural hair color.
Step 2: Using a light hand, fill in the hair gaps. Start stroking eye pencil on your eyebrows from inner corner towards outer corner. Do not overdo the pencil as that will clearly pin point to made-up eyebrows.
Step 3: Take an eyebrow brush or comb and spread the color evenly.
How to use eyeshadow as brow filler
Step 1: Choose a matte eyeshadow shade, which is close to your hair color.
Step 2: Using a flat eyeshadow brush, cautiously fill in hair gaps. Do not press the brush too hard as that will darken the brows and give a fake look. While filling brows ensure that eyeshadow does not fall out. In case it does, then carefully wipe it off using cotton or ear bud.
Step 3: Take an angular eyebrow brush and spread the eyeshadow evenly.
Irrespective of the filler medium, make sure that your eyebrows do not look overdone and irregular. Well shaped brows are an indispensible part of your look especially eye makeup, so you should be more watchful while shaping them up.
