Hi Everyone,
Hope you have had a rocking time this Diwali. I have had a hectic yet fun-filled weekend hopping among my loved relatives’ places :-) I always look forward to this time of the year. The festival season is almost over now and so will be the deviation from the normal routine
Well about today’s topic, I had heard a lot about Lakme Eyeconic Kajal from my dear sister and other girlfriends. I remember, when this kajal was out of stock for a short period my sister made me check it’s availability at all the premium shopping stores in Delhi. But to no avail as I could not find a single Lakme Eyeconic kajal for her. This weekend, when I saw her using the kajal I also thought to give it a try. And there it was on top of my shopping list ;-)
Coming to the review part, Lakme Eyeconic Kajal claims the following attributes:
– Water-proof.
– Smudge-proof.
– Lasts upto 10 hours.
– Dermatologically tested.
Let’s see after hearing so many positives how I find Lakme Eyeconic Kajal.
My Take on ‘Lakme Eyeconic Kajal’
Lakme Eyeconic Kajal comes in a slender roll on packaging with a convenient twist- up. The kajal has a deep black color, which becomes visible after 2-3 strokes. You must have seen Kareena Kapoor calling it a single stroke Kajal but I did not get the prominent look in single stroke. I had to apply 2-3 strokes to make the Kajal prominent. However, when I hardly pressed the Kajal on my wrist for swatch purpose it did give a prominent look. The harder you press the kajal while applying the prominent color it leaves. As we cannot press it hard on eyelids so we have to reapply the strokes. Regarding the sustainability, it is indeed a water proof kajal but stays on only for 3-4 hours unlike the 10 hour claim made by the product.
The Lakme Eyeconic Kajal is smudge proof so I did not have to have to fret about the kajal bleeding. Also, as it is dermatologically so it is safe for the eyes. It did not cause any irritation or made my eyes watery. It can be easily removed with a cotton pad dipped in rose water.
Overall, considering the price of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal I find it a good product. It’s just that the 10 Hour claim is little exaggerated. Personally, I found that it stays as is for around 3 hours and after that it did feel the need of touch up.
