Recently, I have added another nail polish to my ‘summer nail paint collection’. At the time of purchase, I did not even remember that a couple of years ago I had already worn this shade. So when I was drafting this post, I came across some pictures that I posted of this nail color under ‘My recent favourite nail paints’ category. This was like falling for the same nail paint again. ;-) Well, unfortunately I did not do an exclusive evaluation of this nail polish before, so here I am with the detailed review.
My Take on ‘Lakme True Wear N236 FreeSpirit Nail Polish’
Lakme true wear nail polish in N236 freespirit shade has successfully made it to my list of summery nail paints. This mauve shade looks very refreshing and soothing on hands, just like the fresh flowers of spring season. I feel this is the kind of shade which will suit all skin tones without disappointing anyone. Every time I have worn this shade, it fetched me some really good compliments; so I am sure it will do the same job for you as well.

As far as the packaging is concerned, like all other Lakme true wear nail polishes, this one comes in a small glass (9ml) packaging. Even though this nail polish is housed in glass bottle, the material used is quite sturdy. I have dropped it a couple of times on marble floor, yet it survived the accidental falls. But you better not to do this experiment :dancy_s: .

The bottle shows the exact color of the nail polish, and the contents of the bottle are well-preserved by a beige colored screw cap. This cap holds the nail paint brush as well; but I am not impressed with the adhesive that attaches this holder to the brush. Sometimes after I fasten it tightly, I always end up detaching the holder from the brush while unscrewing it. Nevertheless, the length of the holder is sufficient to apply the nail polish on nail beds.

It is recommended on the back of the bottle to apply 2 coats of the paint to get the same color as that of the bottle. In my opinion, even one coat suffices to a pleasant pastel color; even though it looks pastel yet it is devoid of the streakiness. Two coats give a bold look, and also take longer to dry. Usually, I prefer going with single coat to keep up the bloom and femininity of this nail paint.

The longevity of this nail paint is 3 days without top coat, and with top coat it may stay as long as 5 days. I always slather the top coat because in addition to increasing the longevity, it maintains the glossiness of this nail color. If that is not done, the nail color starts looking dull by the day 2 itself.

What I like about ‘Lakme True Wear N236 FreeSpirit Nail Polish’
– Refreshing shade for summers.
– No streakiness so the application looks even.
– It will suit all skin tones.
– It stays intact for at least 3 days at a stretch.
– The first coat dries out in just couple of minutes.
– The holder is long enough for convenient brushing on nail beds.
What I do not like about ‘Lakme True Wear N236 FreeSpirit Nail Polish’
– Sometimes the holder comes off leaving the brush attached to the bottle.
– Availability is an issue.

Yes, thats the problem with every freespirit nail polish. But I do not mind that as long as the shade looks pretty on my nails :)
