My latest online shopping haul from purplle.com

Online shopping is a fad these days. Many online ventures have started selling cosmetics, clothes, footwear, grocery, blah blah- you name it and you will get it on these websites. Shopping online is convenient in many ways – provides good discounts, saves time, saves petrol and provides many other selections in just few clicks. In spite of so many pros of online shopping I do not find it much convincing as equal number of cons is also associated with online shopping. Few of the cons, I have personally experienced, are: online price greater than actual MRP, long delivery time, bad customer service, shipment of expired products and shaky shipment packaging. Personally, I believe these online websites cannot be trusted blindly. One needs to be actively vigilant until the right products are safely received.
Off lately I have ordered the following four cosmetic products from purplle.com, and literally I had to be on my toes to get these products delivered. Still I could not make purplle.com to do the delivery before Diwali.
1) Vichy Normaderm anti imperfection deep cleansing foaming cream.
2) Votre Pore Shrink Toner.
3) Matrix Biolage deep smoothing hair masque.
4) Vaseline men whitening face wash.
After I received the box I was excited to open it and see the long awaited products. But the moment I opened the box the excitement turned to disappointment.
Firstly, I was charged Rs 590 for Vichy Normaderm but the price mentioned on the tube is Rs 550.
Secondly, to save the courier cost purplle.com did not send the outer packaging of Votre Pore Shrink Toner. As ‘Directions for use’ are nowhere mentioned on the bottle so I had to search for ‘directions for use’ on the internet.
Thirdly, when I received Matrix Biolage hair masque it was half open. Out of four products I had ordered three were faulty in different ways.
This was the second time I ordered from purplle.com. The experience was not different from the first order; then also I was charged more than MRP for one product. Looking at their services and delivery this was my last transaction with purplle.com.
As far as the usage of the products is concerned I am still eager to see how beneficial they turn out for me. I will share my experience soon; wait for my next couple of posts.
Apologies for making you all read this bad experience tale. I just wanted to share my experience and give a heads-up, in case you are shopping online.

Shivi, a couple of such sites create a bad rapport of online shopping websites. Next time when I will place an online order I will double check the site credibility.
Yes I did too have a case of being overcharged…i bought a product and I was charged Rs 80 + Rs 20/- as courier charges ….the product was delivered and I was happy till I went to the neighbouring shop and saw the same product costing only Rs 20/-. From another seller I picked up a gas cylinder trolley and took it out of the wrapping after abt 2 weeks…when I lfited the empty cylinder to place on the trolley one wheel gave way….rather broke away from the main ……
Priya, Ooops.. it has become very hard to trust the sellers these days.. they are on the lookout of duping customers one way or other. Thanks for sharing your bad experiences :ThankYou:
Even i have had pathetic experience with Purplle in my last purchase… they have delayed my order for more than a month and i had to call them almost everyday for status update :( rude and incompitent customer care..they did not even cancel my order and delivered half the order in 1 month then i had to talk to supervisor to cancel rest of them order >:( so irritating experience..
