Loreal 6 Oil Nourishing Shampoo Review
Hi Everyone,
Recently, I purchased Loreal 6 oil nourishing shampoo. The purchase was not because I was unhappy with my regular shampoo but because I got attracted to the fancy ads and label of loreal 6 oil shampoo. Also, as it is said that one should keep changing the shampoo to increase the efficacy so that was another reason behind this purchase. This shampoo claims to contain 6 most nutritive oils, which raise the expectation bar quite high. But let’s see how it has fared so far ;-)
What the product says:
– 6 Oil formula for 6 benefits.
– Provides complete nourishment to hair from root to tip with 6 Micro Oils.
– Contains 6 nutritive oils: Argan, Olive, Almond, Coconut, Jojoba and Camelina.
– Provides 6 benefits: makes hair strong, soft, smooth, thick, shiny and manageable.
– Makes hair look healthy and beautiful with a spectacular shine with every wash.
My take on ‘Loreal 6 Oil Nourishing Shampoo’
Loreal 6 oil nourish shampoo comes in a rose gold colored packaging. I really liked the long dispensing beak of 640 ml bottle. The extra beak length makes pumping very easy and convenient. The shampoo is mustard in color with a running consistency. Unlike other shampoos, loreal 6 oil nourish is easier to dilute. The first time I used this shampoo I was overwhelmed with its fragrance, it’s kind of herbal and very different from the chemically influenced fragrance of my regular Pantene shampoo. But now after consistent use of loreal 6 oil shampoo, I do not find the fragrance much noteworthy; might be because I have become accustomed to it.
Regarding usage, I do not directly massage shampoo on my hair and scalp. Instead I dilute it first and then apply it. So is with this shampoo- I thoroughly wet my hair, dilute the shampoo and run it on hair and scalp, gently massaging the scalp using finger tips. It produces enough lather on dry hair; but when I shampoo my oiled hair I have to repeat the wash 2-3 times to get rid of all the oil.
Coming to efficacy, I find Loreal 6 oil nourish shampoo a bit milder than my regular Pantene shampoo. This one is not that harsh on the hair, so my hair gets less frizzy but not totally frizz-free. Though because of less frizz it does make hair look healthier. It does not bring any extra shine to the hair- just the regular shine. The nutritive oils’ fragrance does not stay on for long; fades away in around 1 hour. Also after 1 month’s continuous usage I did not notice any extra strength or thickness in my hair. Looking at its pace, I think this shampoo might take long to suffice to its claim of strong and thick hair.
What I like about ‘Loreal 6 Oil Nourishing Shampoo’
– Amazing herbal fragrance (might be a con for some people :-) )
– Very comfortable dispenser.
– Milder shampoo than Pantene hair fall control.
– Reduces frizz to some extent.
– Makes hair look healthier
What I do not like about ‘Loreal 6 Oil Nourishing Shampoo’
– Does not bring more shine.
– Does not make hair thick.
– Might not suit dry scalp.
– Does not make hair totally frizz-free.
Ingredients of ‘Loreal 6 Oil Nourishing Shampoo’ –
Price of ‘Loreal 6 Oil Nourishing Shampoo’– INR 369 for 640 ml.
Shelf life of ‘Loreal 6 Oil Nourishing Shampoo’- 36 months from date of packaging.
BABE Rating – 3.5/5
Final Word: Loreal 6 oil nourish shampoo does control frizz to an extent and makes hair manageable. However, it does not bring much shine and does not seem to work well on internal hair health.
