Loreal Paris Infaillible Makeup Lasting Perfecting Foundation in Sable Sand (220) Review
Hi Everyone,
Hope you have thoroughly enjoyed the long weekend. I got so busy in hopping between relatives’ places that I could hardly spare any time in writing for BABE. Now, as I am back in Delhi I can sneak some personal hours for BABE  . Coming to the post, I have been using ‘Loreal Paris Infaillible Makeup Lasting Perfecting Foundation’ for quite long. In fact, this was the first foundation I ever tried and now I am on my second bottle – that explains a lot ;-) . The first one was part of my bridal vanity box ;-)

My Take on ‘Loreal Paris Infaillible Makeup Lasting Perfecting Foundation in Sable Sand (220)’
Loreal paris infaillible foundation comes in a see through bottle with a wine colored pump dispenser, which has a transparent plastic cap. The packaging is quite heavy and sturdy that I guess would save the bottle from breakage even after an accidental fall. Though I have not tried testing this height of sturdiness but it has proved safe for travelling. No spillage at all, even the cap remains intact amidst a bag full of goodies.
Coming to the texture, loreal infaillible foundation has the apt formula that is required for perfect application. It is neither too thick nor too runny. This type of texture makes the foundation go easy on to skin and helps in blending. Fragrance wise, my nose does not smell any awful or awesome notes in this foundation. It is just neutral – good for all unless you do look for a fragrant foundation  .
As I have said the texture of this foundation is perfect for fine application. I have applied it both using a foundation brush and tips of my fingers. But somehow I feel it blends well with fingers. All I do is partially pumping the dispenser (just once) on the back of my hand. Be careful while you pump it. As if you press it completely, the dispenser oozes out lot of product that would be more than enough for your face and neck areas. Just raisin size quantity is enough for medium to full coverage. Using fingertip, I dot my face and neck area with foundation. Afterwards, I spread/blend it in outwards direction – towards hair line, ears and back of neck. It takes some time to settle without settling in fine lines. Usually I wait for 5-10 minutes before starting off with next makeup product.
Regarding finish, loreal infaillible foundation neither provides 100% dewy nor 100% matte finish. The look is kind of semi-matte that keeps shifting on the glowing side as the hours pass by. I love the glowing that never crosses the boundary to impart the impression of an oily or sticky skin. Ladies who have dry skin will need to use good moisture underneath this foundation. Unlike other foundations, loreal infaillible does not make my face look cake(y). Rather, it evens out skin tone by providing medium to full coverage. For day time, I even skip using concealer on under eye areas as this foundation does the job of a concealer.
Longevity wise, it stays on intact for 7-8 hours. I never got to test it beyond that time ;-) , and I think that would be the rarest of cases when one needs to wear makeup for 15-16 hours at stretch. The main hassle about this product is that it requires little hard work to remove with plain water and soap. But if you first use a makeup remover to wipe off the foundation then washing gets a lot easier.
I am wearing this foundation here and here.
