Hi Everyone,
If you remember my huge haul post that I made live a couple of months back, you would be knowing that around that time I replaced my skin care routine by L’Oreal Youth Code products. Since then I have been using these products, and I honestly think that they have got ample time to showcase results – positive or negative. I am starting off with the review of L’Oreal Youth Code Youth Booster Serum that is raved a lot by many people; continue reading to know my experience with this face serum.
My Skin Type: Combination to Oily, chin area prone to acne.
My Take on ‘L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Youth Booster Serum’
Youth code youth booster serum comes in a cylindrical shaped glass packaging. The silver screw cap contains the dropper that eventually is used to take out the product. The inclusion of dropper is favorable to maintain the hygiene, and also ensures that you get the exact quantity required. The size of the bottle makes it portable and fit in any hand bag. The only problem with this packaging is that being made of glass it seems quite fragile. Plus, because of the shape of the bottle it would be difficult to make use of every last drop of the serum.
It is transparent face serum with runny, smooth texture. The consistency is somewhat similar to that of a hair serum. I like the cloying fragrance which is very mild and subsides in just few minutes.
Regarding application, I apply it twice a day –morning and night, on a clean face. Using the dropper, I take 3 drops of the serum on my palm, and dot it all over the face and neck area. Then using gentle upward motions I spread the serum, and it penetrates into the skin in literary no time. It does not have any sticky feel to it; the moment I apply it makes the skin look hydrated. I am glad that unlike other face products it does not contribute in augmenting the sheen on my face.
But the bad thing is that during the first couple of days, when I started using this serum it broke my skin out. While I was suffering from those excruciating zits, I stopped using this product. It might be that my skin was not accustomed to the ingredients used in its making. After my skin got recovered from the pimple(y) phase, I started re-using the serum and thankfully, it did not break it out this time.
After religiously using the serum for around 2 months, I do see that my skin looks rejuvenated and supple. Whatever bleak lines I had look quite faded now, and I hope with in next couple of months these would be completely diminished.

Final Word: L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Youth Booster Serum is one of the good options to defer ageing. Its non-sticky texture encourages me to use this product, as I was fed of the prominent shine on my T zone. It suffices to its claim of providing skin hydration and deferring ageing. The only thing is that the exorbitant price does not excuse the small quantity of the product. I wish they could have provided a 50ml bottle in that price.

This looks really good Babe…Although I am not sure about it because of the breakout thing but it looks like a good serum…will checkit out sometime..LovelY review :)
Sure Richa, and thanks for good words :)
I love serums but the price tag makes me turn away from them… This one is a good one. I guess most serums need getting accustomed too and once they do they deliver greater results than your moisturizer can.
yes, you are absolutely right Beepsa !
The serum in the bottle and the price goes for a shoot :P .. and that breakout thing surely will keep me away from this.. Glad that it worked nicely for you.. but i shall be skipping it ..
Good for you darling <3
I have loved Loreal’s 3x laser serum for my skin type. I will recommend this to my mum but currently overloaded with products. :) Nice review dear.
Hehehe.. I did not try the 3x laser serum yet. My mom has tried though :)
