Hi Everyone,
Night creams give the similar treatment to our skin as does a foot massage to our feet at the end of a hectic day. So it is essential to start using a night cream once you hit 25. I do not remember when I added them to my daily skin care routine but it has been a long while. The recent one I am using is from L’Oreal Paris Youth Code range. This is my third product review of the range, in case you not gone through my previous posts, you can now check the day cream and anti-ageing serum review.
My Skin Type: Combination to oily with acne prone chin area.
My Take on ‘L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Youth Boosting Cream Night’
L’Oreal youth code night cream comes in a similar packaging as that of the day cream. The packaging is spill-proof, secured by an additional layer of lid between the screw cap and tub. Though it is just a 50g tub yet it is quite heavy in weight and difficult to adjust in the handbag. Apart from the text the only difference in L’Oreal Paris Day and Night creams is their colors. Just like day and night, the day cream is white in color and the night cream is violet (had it been black, it would have been difficult to apply ;-) ).
The texture is very heavy, but I am glad that it does not cause terrible problems to the combination skin that I have. If it is able to work on my skin, I think it can work on any skin type. The fragrance is mild, and has a little tinge of sophistication but I do not think it would be a troublemaker.
Before going to bed, I thoroughly wash my face to get rid of external impurities, followed by L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Serum. Afterwards, using the forefinger, I dot the night cream on face and neck thereby massaging in soft circular motion. All this while, I have been religiously applying it before going to bed. Because of the thick texture it does not fully penetrate into the skin, I always feel the heaviness of the cream but it is not to an unbearable extent. However, it would be better if you use it in small quantity, that ways you will be able to work it up without the heavy feeling.
It makes me wake up to a beautiful, hydrated skin. After consistent usage of one and half months my skins looks healthy and moisturized. Somehow the pore size also seems to have reduced a little. Like all other L’Oreal Paris Youth Code products, this cream also caused some initial skin breakouts, which eventually subsided after I gave a short break to the usage.
I do not prefer tub packaging as it involves dipping your finger into the tub every time you have to take out the product. I wish L’Oreal Paris could think of a better way of packaging for their youth code day and night creams.
What I like about ‘L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Youth Boosting Cream Night’
– It does not cause skin irritation.
– It makes the skin hydrated and supple.
– Skin looks rejuvenated in the morning.
– It does even out the skin, giving it a clear complexion.
– If it does not provide a matte effect, it does not even aggravate the sheen problem.
– The heavy texture makes it suitable for all skin types except sensitive.
– It has mild fragrance that does not feel bothersome.
What I do not like about ‘L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Youth Boosting Cream Night’
– Because of the heaviness of the texture it may cause skin breakouts to sensitive skin.

Final Word: L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Night cream is formulated to keep the skin hydrated and moisturized. On consistent application, the ingredient composition rejuvenates the skin and gives it a healthy glow. Thick texture is of concern but not that big to deter me from applying it on my combination skin.

Hey hi
Nice review. I just bought this product no doubt its little heavy on skin. I also bought clinique three step on a friends recommendation. Do you think using all this together will be safe. Its day 2 in morning I use clinique step 3 and night again step 3 bit while sleeping I also use loreal youth code. Do you think all this is safe and won’t give me break outs . as I’m totally amateur in this field. Need help
