Hi Everyone,
I have been holding on to this blush for quite long. As the shade is different from the customary pinks, peaches and corals so it did not seem to go well with most of the outfits. Until a few days back, when I have a detailed look on the shade, I seldom used to apply it. But since that day, it has become sort of an indispensible part of makeup routine. Read out to know how, who knows you might also get some idea to start reusing the lying around blushes, if any. ;-)
My Take on ‘Loreal True Match Blush 205 Honey’
The blush comes in a round cute pot, which is the signature true match blush packaging. The pot is divided into two parts: upper section contains the blush, and lower section contains the mirror and a semicircular brush. The brush is difficult to use for blushing purpose but comes quite handy for contouring. I usually carry an extra blush brush for seamless blending.
L’Oreal true match’s 205 is an earthy beige shade. For dark to medium skin tones, this blush will do a good job for contouring. The encased brush, being a flat semicircular brush is perfect to do the contouring part. The texture is smooth satin, with no fall out. Once applied it settles on to the skin, without giving chalky appearance. This is a sheer to buildable shade with minimal sheen.
For the record, I have oily skin tone. This blush perfectly mingles with my skin layer without giving any oily look all day long. I find this blush perfect for contouring and office wear. It is a low pigmented blush that makes it apt for professional meets. For parties, one can go for a couple of strokes to make the look more prominent. For fair to very fair skin tones, this blush can give a close-to-natural look.
As far as far the staying power is concerned, true match blushes go a long way. If applied over a makeup base you can keep blushing for close to 7-8 hours. However, without a makeup base this blush magic works for 4-5 hours, which I think is pretty much an average staying power.
What I like about ‘Loreal True Match Blush 205 Honey’:
– Works well for contouring.
– Smooth satin finish.
– Does not have a chalky texture.
– Does not fallout.
– Comes with a handy brush and mirror.
– Travel friendly packaging.
– Brush can be used for contouring.
What I do not like about ‘Loreal True Match Blush 205 Honey’:
– Needs an extra blush brush for travelling.
– Not a perfect shade for dark to medium skin tones.
Price of ‘Loreal True Match Blush 205 Honey’: INR 750 for 5g.
BABE Rating: 4/5
Final Word: The texture is smooth, non-flaky and blends well with the skin. For medium skin tones, this blush can be best used as contouring. If you have this blush you do not need to spend extra bucks in going for a contouring product. For fair skin tones, the shade can come up really well. For dark skin tones, this shade is a skip.
