Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion Review
Hi Everyone,
I love to try different body lotions specially the ones that are housed in fancy packaging. Just a good know-me description on the bottle of an eye catching packaging is enough reason for me to bring it home. Plus for me body lotions are the least risky products, they seldom cause any skin breakouts and if they do then those breakouts can be strategically kept out of sight.
So the latest addition to my body lotion stack is from Marks and Spencer. If you read my blog regularly then you must be aware that a couple of weeks back I have bought a ‘Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion’. Let’s see how it has served me so far.
What the product says:
Experience daily luxury with our Nature’s Extracts collection. This light, easily absorbed hand and body lotion enriched with extracts of rich cocoa butter and vanilla will help leave your skin soft and delicately scented.
My Take on ‘Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion’
Most of M&S products are housed in cute packaging, and the same goes for this ‘pampering cocoa butter moisturizing hand and body lotion’. It comes in a transparent pump bottle that is very convenient to use. Pump bottles have the highest re-usability factor. Why even throw away such a cut bottle which can easily accommodate liquid products such as hair oil, hand wash, etc.!
Pampering cocoa butter body lotion has soft and creamy texture. The product is light peach(y) in color, and is enriched with cocoa butter and vanilla extracts but I have mixed thoughts about its fragrance. When in the bottle it smells like traditional soaps but after I apply it on my skin it emits the yummy cocoa butter fragrance that stays on for a couple of hours.
Usually, I prefer to apply the lotion immediately after bath but this lotion is difficult to work with on damp skin. The more I struggle to make it go inside the skin the more stubborn it becomes leaving a white cast. After all this tug-of-war I have figured out that the best way to apply it is by massaging on dry skin. On wet skin I just spread it a little and leave it on, after a couple of minutes it disappears (most probably goes into the skin and not gets transferred to clothes  ).
It is a non-sticky lotion that does not make my skin sticky and palms sweaty (many other body lotions do). It works great even under AC as it keeps my skin hydrated and moisturized for all day long. It omits the need of reapplying the lotion after every few hours. Just one application makes my skin soft and smooth for entire day.
What I like about ‘Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion’
– When applied on dry skin it quickly penetrates into it.
– It has a non-sticky texture that does not cause any sweatiness.
– It comes in a hygienic and re-usable pump bottle packaging.
– It has a pleasant cocoa butter fragrance which stays on for a couple of hours.
– It keeps my skin hydrated and moisture for all day long, even under AC. I do not have to repeatedly apply the lotion to hide dryness patches.
What I do not like about ‘Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion’
– It does not easily get absorbed into the damp skin.
– It contains parabens that might sound awful to some.
– It is not enriched with any SPF ingredient.
Price of ‘Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion’: INR 399 for 300ml.
Shelf life of ‘Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion’: 30 months from date of packaging.
BABE Rating: 4/5 :good: :good: :good: :good:
Final Word: I adore the cute packaging of ‘Marks and Spencer Pampering Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion’. Its delectable cocoa butter fragrance and ability to provide long hour moisture are the main buying pros. Infused with the goodness of cocoa butter and vanilla it does not make moisturizing ritual a sticky job for me. Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

Woww…now this seems to be a must-have product for winters! Nicely reviewed babes!
Thanks Anshu !
Love the packaging. I hate applying anything on damp skin except for Body Shop Body Milk as they leave a white cast.
yes, and sometimes that becomes very irritating !
I have heard a lot of good things about this one, yet to try! Nice review :)
Thanks Charu !
sounds great and best for winters
yups, you are right Laks !
I am using this product as well, and I agree with you about it not being able to absorb well into damp skin! And at times, I feel that it doesnt moisturise that well (i have very dry skin, you see!). All in all, I am almost done with this product, but I am not confident if I would repurchase it. :)
I have normal skin and that’s the reason it fared ok on me.
Cocoa butter sounds so yummy :D
