Today’s post is focused on swatches, so enjoy the pics.
My Take on ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Cinderella Pink’
Cinderella pink is a beige nail polish with a hint of pink in it. Its finish is glossy that gives a reflection of golden shimmer. The whole appearance is kind of pearly. You know those pink pearls that look classy and feminine? Well, this looks like them. I feel this is the perfect shade when you want to bring out the elegant lady in you.
The texture is smooth, and makes the polish easy to apply. Being on lighter side, you need to apply 2-3 strokes to get complete opacity. Exceeding that benchmark may cause the nail polish to chip sooner than expected.
For longevity, even after 3 coats it stays intact for 3 days after which it starts chipping from the edges. The good thing is even when chipped it does not make the nails look that bad – thanks to the subdued color of this nail polish. That being said, you can easily stretch it to 4-5 days though doing so is not recommended as nails do need to be spared from the consistent hammering of chemicals.
You do not necessarily need to apply a base coat before applying this shade. The color transfer is minimum so it does not make the nails paler. However, if you want it to stay on for long you can shield it with a top coat. The longevity timeframe mentioned above is without top coat, if you apply a top coat it would definitely stay intact for long.
What I like about ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Cinderella Pink’
– Like all MCS nail polishes, this also carries an affordable price tag.
– Non-streaky pearl finish.
– Though I am matte lover but sometimes I like wearing a shimmery nail polish like this.
– Average staying power.
– Travel friendly and cute packaging.
What I do not like about ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Cinderella Pink’
– Requires three coats for opaque look.
– It would suit best on medium to fair skin tones.
Price of ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Cinderella Pink’: Initially priced at INR 75, but of lately the price has been hiked to INR 85.
BABE Rating: 4/5
Final Word: Cinderella pink is a beautiful natural looking nail shade with pearl finish. It would look good on medium to fare skin tones. It does not look shabby when it starts chipping from the edges and neither does it require any base coat – all because of the muted pigmentation. If you are looking for a pearl finish beige nail polish with a hint of pink then this might be your pick.
