Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Constant Candy 401 Review Swatch
Hi Everyone,
Here is another review on Maybelline color show nail polish, constant candy shade number 401. I must say I was very much in love with this nail polish before it started thickening, and it became a tedious job to apply it with perfection. No matter, you can add a few drops of acetone to make it thin and glide smoothly on your nails. Personally, I feel that doing so takes away the original color of polish; anyhow it is better to make it work like this rather throw away. Nevertheless, MCS nail paints are fairly priced so you can give them a try irrespective of the thickening aspect, but before you do that read on to know my experience with constant candy. ;-)
My Take on ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Constant Candy 401’
Constant candy is quite a unique shade – a very light pink, kind of angelic. The very first time I saw this shade on the store shelf, I had my apprehensions whether to go for it. For it seemed the kind of shade that was tempting yet would not suit all skin tones. Surrendering to the temptation I bought it eventually, and fortunately it does not look that bad. But I would like to mention here that this is the shade that would look best on fair to medium skin tone hands.
This is the most suitable nail shade for summer and spring season. It gives a soothing look amidst hot summers, and it might be the love-at-first sight kind of shade for pastel hue lovers.
Being a pastel color, it requires at least three coats to get an opaque look. Even after applying three coats, the streakiness still peeks up from underneath the thick layer. As it is quite common with more than two nail coats, they take ample time to dry so you need to sit ideal in order not to mess up with the nail polish. That’s the reason I prefer to apply this nail polish right before going to bed. Secondly, the thick coating makes the paint chip off earlier than regular coating starts chipping.
One more thing I would like to specify here is that the key to get clean outcomes with pastel nail paints is to wait for the previous coat to dry before you start applying the next coat. That ways you will be getting a close-to immaculate look, though with constant candy it rarely seems to be coming out perfect.
What I like about ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Constant Candy 401’
– Perfect summer shade.
– Pastel color lovers might love constant candy more.
– It would suit a lot on medium to fair hands.
– As it goes with all Maybelline color show nail polishes, it has reasonable price.
What I do not like about ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Constant Candy 401’
– Streaky because of the sheer hue.
– Have to apply couple of coats to get the color of the bottle that usually results in chipping.
Price of ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Constant Candy 401’: INR 75 for 6ml
BABE Rating: 4/5
Final Word: I love this nail shade for its soothing look. Though it is slightly tedious to get the perfectly clean application, I do not mind applying it in leisure time, because it requires three coats, and that too with lots of patience and care. For those for like candy floss, it is yet another reason to try constant candy shade. It is one of the perfect shades for summers. :dancydancy:
