Maybelline color show nail polishes are so reasonably priced that I keep adding them to my nail paint stash without giving a second thought. I have even purchased these nail polishes without trying them on my nails. I just use to pick the shades by the look of the pot. So far, most of these shades have not disappointed me except a few that I purchased knowing that they would not fare well on me. Never mind, given the price of these nail polishes I think these little risks can be viable, and more viable if you have a younger sister to hand them over. :dancydancy: Let’s find out if I am going to keep Maybelline Color Show Crazy Berry nail polish or pass it on to my sister ;-) .
My Take on ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Crazy Berry’
Crazy berry is a deep violet shade with black undertone. Being on the bright side it would go well with all skin tones. A nice shade for parties, festivals and occasions like that but not a decent color for daily office wear – but still I managed to carry it a couple of times. Besides occasions, I think it is a good choice for winter season as well.

The consistency is thin that aids the shade to dry out quickly. But in case you are going for more than 2 coats you need to show some patience before you start re-using your hands. Plus, the thin consistency ensures that the paint is spread on entire nail and its edges. The nail paint brush requires minimum 2 strokes to cover the entire nail bed.

The pigmentation is not that good. In one coat it gives an almost opaque appearance, 2 coats reduce the opaqueness but still give a streaky look, 3 coats take care of the opaqueness and almost give the color of the bottle. If you go beyond 3 coats the black undertone overpowers so you will not get the exact berry shade, and more importantly doing so will make the polish chip off sooner. I like the glossy look of this paint but the pigmentation is slightly disappointing.

I am dissatisfied with the longevity of this nail polish. Per my experience with other MCW nail polishes I did not expect it to chip off so early. I wonder, if all these nail paints are based on the same formula then how come the crazy berry shade does not last that long. Within just one day of wearing this nail polish it started chipping off at the edges, by day 2 it was completely gone from couple of nails so I had to take it off.

What I like about ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Crazy Berry’
– The consistency makes it easy to spread on nails.
– It dries out quickly.
– It is a beautiful berry shade for winters.
– It comes in a pocket friendly price, like all other Maybelline Color Show nail polishes.
– Being a bright shade it will look good on all skin tones.
What I do not like about ‘Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish Crazy Berry’
– It chips off easily. If you do household chores then even 2 coats can chip off the very next day.
– Up to three coats you can see the uneven coloration but I guess if you go beyond 3 the paint will not last for long.

hahaha..I dont do any house hold work ..so till now i dont find any issues with the chipping however i would like my nail paints to stay longer as i am a bit of lazy person :P The shade is a stunner
Yes Purva the shade is definitely beautiful its just the chipping power, and that was not a problem with other MCW shades.

I love the shade. Its so pretty. I have also experienced the same problem with the polishes. They chip too easily but their stay on power can only be prolonged with top coat. Though I have nevet experienced such an amount of chipping in a day. On my nails it starts to chip from the second day or so.
Do I do truck loads of household work than any of you do ? :P
