Hope you are having a good time. As I have blabbered numerous times, I like decking up my eyes to the core. Owing to that liking, I keep trying various eye makeup products. However, a while ago I did not even know how to make my way with felt tip liners but since I started using ‘Oriflame the one eye liner stylo’ I actually became comfortable with these pens. Recently, I thought to dwell more in this category of eye liners and bought Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner Black. Going by my application experience, I feel this is a perfect eye liner that provides immaculate lining. Still read on to know my view on other details such as longevity, pigmentation, etc.

My Take on ‘Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner Black’
Maybelline harp sharp liner is a felt tip liner that comes in a sleek pen type packaging with golden cap on top. For the good grip of the cap, you can be carefree of it getting loose and damaging the tip. The brand’s name in engraved in golden words (literally!) on black base, which though look stylish but makes it difficult to click clear pictures. However, it does not matter if you are not an amateur photographer. ;-)

The sleek shape of the liner makes it convenient to use. The tip is so soft that it does not hurt the skin, yet simultaneously provides intense black lining without the need of exerting extra pressure. Even if you are a beginner in using felt tip liners you won’t be disappointed with this. The sharp tip moves smoothly on the lids. On one side it provides an immaculate thin lining and perfectly crafted wing, on the other side if you have to use it for that bold liner look, drawing a thick line requires slight practice. Anyhow, the tip is so soft and sharp that you can even decorate your eyes in some intricate designs.

The intense pigmentation is quite visible on one stroke. However, you can intensify it even more with an additional swipe. The finish is kind of semi glossy, so if you are a fan of matte liners you may want to skip it. The other good thing about this liner is that it dries in no time, giving you the cue to quickly move on to the next makeup step. In those moments when you are already running out of time and are still undone with your makeup the quick swipes of this liner saves ample time that further can be used in applying other products.

Regarding longevity, it stays on for 8 hours at a stretch without getting smudged. Though this is not a waterproof liner, yet I do not see it as a con. As long as it stays on all day long, and is easy to remove non-waterproof aspect is fine by me. It can be easily removed with one swipe of makeup remover or else with plain water and face cleanser.

What I do not like about ‘Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner Black’
– Because the tip is very thin, creating thick line is a difficult and time consuming task.

Final Word: Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner is the most convenient felt tip liner I have ever used. Hence, I would say that this would be the perfect liner for amateurs and for those are yet to try felt tip liners. The sharp tip provides perfect lining, without hurting the delicate eyelids.
