Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review
Hi Everyone,
For me, dry hands are the biggest concern in winters. Just as this season onsets, my hands start looking wrinkled, dry and lifeless. To recuperate them from this condition I need to slather them with moisturizing agents from time to time. I prefer applying milk cream or ‘desi-ghee’ to chemically laced hand creams. But as none of these natural substitutes can be applied during day time for the stickiness they cause, I always look out for hydrating hand creams. The latest one I settled for is ‘Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream’.
What the product says:
Neutrogena Hand Cream delivers effective relief for dry, chapped hands. This clinically proven, highly concentrated formula rapidly heals dry hands. It noticeably improves the look and feel of your skin. Hands feel soft and smooth after just one application.
– Long-lasting
– Glycerin-rich
– Concentrated
– Available in Original and Fragrance-free
My Take on ‘Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream’
I find its texture very similar to petroleum jelly both in consistency and smoothness. It’s just that petroleum jellies usually come packed in jars or containers, so become little unhygienic for usage. On the other hand Neutrogena Norwegian hand cream comes in a squeezable packaging that I find much convenient and hygienic. The tube is made of soft plastic so you can ooze out every single drop till the end. The tube seems small in size (just 56g) but considering the quantity required for every usage I think it can easily last for couple of months.
From my previous experience with The Body Shop Hemp Protector Hand Cream, I have learnt that fragrance plays a significant role when it comes to hand creams. If they are infused with nice or even no fragrance they encourage you to apply them, and thus aid in repairing dry and rough hands. But in case they have awful smell as of TBS hemp protector you would always be reluctant to apply such hand creams, and so no improvement in your hand condition. I am glad that this time I did not stumble upon a bad smelling hand cream. Neutrogena Norwegian hand cream has very mild fragrance; if you can tolerate the slight fragrance of non-fragrant petroleum jellies then this would not stand anything for your nostrils. ;-)
For usage, just raisin size quantity is sufficient for one time use. When rubbed against palms it generates a temporarily white cast that disappears instantly during the process of application. The best part about this hand cream is that it gets absorbed instantly leaving hands soft and hydrated. All other hand creams that I have used in the past had a tendency to cause perspiration but there is no such thing with this Norwegian hand cream. Unlike other creams, which cause stickiness, this one makes me feel as if there is nothing on my hands. All you need to ensure is that you are using the right quantity – neither too less nor too much. I apply this cream multiple times a day: every time I wash my hands and without fail before going to bed.
What I like about ‘Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream’
– It gets absorbed into the skin quickly.
– It does not cause any greasiness or stickiness around.
– It does not make my hands sweaty.
– It has very mild fragrance which is not bothersome at all.
– It comes in a hygienic and portable packaging.
– It instantly makes my hands soft and supple.
– In addition to hands, it can be applied on lips, elbows and knees – in short anywhere skin needs rescue from dryness.
What I do not like about ‘Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream’
– It is not available in a bigger size than this 56g tube.
Price of ‘Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream’: INR 300 for 56g.
Shelf life of ‘Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream’: 3 years from date of packaging.
BABE Rating: 4.8/5
Final Word: Just as the claim portrays, Neutrogena Norwegian hand cream instantly softens dry hands- giving them a blanket of hydration and healthy look. The perspiration-free suppleness this cream provides is the best trait, in my opinion, as I was fed up of sweaty hands every time I applied a hand cream. Since I have started using this cream, it has become my most favorite winter product. I believe regular application would relieve dry and chapped hands permanently.
