Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing with you my third Oriflame review from their new launch ‘The ONE’ brand. If you have gone through my first two reviews of Oriflame the ONE volume blast mascara and the ONE eye liner stylo you must know that I am totally impressed with these products. As they say ‘expectations only go higher’ so obviously I had similar (if not higher) expectation from other products of this brand. Read out below to find out if ‘Oriflame The ONE Illuskin Foundation Natural Beige’ was able to meet up my expectations or not.
My Take on ‘Oriflame The ONE Illuskin Foundation Natural Beige’
Oriflame the One illuskin foundation comes in 4 shades: natural beige, n*de pink, olive beige and porcelain. My complexion is in between wheat(ish) and fair so I preferred the natural beige shade. It goes perfectly with my complexion, blends well and becomes a part of the skin in no time. The ONE foundation comes in a pump glass bottle with a transparent cap on the nozzle. The pump makes the usage convenient and very hygienic. Sometimes the product does get accumulate on nozzle’s edges, so you just need to keep cleaning that area after very usage.
I take 2 pumps of this foundation and dot it all over my face & neck, and then using fingers blend it in upward direction. This foundation feels super light and non-sticky on the skin. So far I have been using it for day wear because of the SPF 20 content. It glides on to the skin smoothly and blends perfectly. It neither accentuates nor settles in fine lines. Long time back I used to hate foundations because people tend to go so overboard with usage quantity that most of the times resulted in a superficial cake(y) look. But thank God I had good experience with foundations so far.
I have oily to combination skin tone, so the ONE illuskin foundation gives me a semi matte finish for the first three hours. As the times passes by it starts casting its glossier effect. Honestly, speaking I love the first 3 hour look – of perfect even tone, blushing cheeks and sharply defined eyes. But with each passing moment the foundation starts melting down (though makeup stays intact), and I need to wipe off the face to get rid of that unwanted glossy shine. It might be a good thing for girls who have normal to dry skin or who prefer glossy (dewy) looks.
For everyday office look I prefer to go with minimal makeup, so I do not use any primer underneath foundation. The ONE illuskin foundation would have been a great everyday product had it not caused the glossy effect. But still for short day parties and get-togethers I will prefer using this foundation as it gives a natural even look, which photographs well :dancydancy:
The other good thing is that even though it makes my face shinier yet it never breaks me out. So I am good with wiping the excess shine as long as it does not give me those acne worries.
What I like about ‘Oriflame The ONE Illuskin Foundation Natural Beige’
– It photographs very well, and does not give a cake(y) look.
– It blends perfectly and does not settle in fine lines.
– It contains SPF 20 so far day use you do not need to slather an additional layer of sun protection.
– It comes in a pump glass bottle which is easy to use and keeps the hygiene of the product.
– The ‘natural beige’ provides natural look.
– It does not break me out.
– During the first three hours of wearing this foundation it gives a semi-matte finish, which I like a lot.
– It provides sheer to buildable coverage.
– It feels light on the skin.
– It stays on for good 8 hours without causing makeup smudging.
What I do not like about ‘Oriflame The ONE Illuskin Foundation Natural Beige’
– After 3 hours it starts making my face shiny and greasy. It makes my oily face look oilier so I believe it would be a good choice for people with normal to dry skin.
– It does not completely cover deep marks, you have to use a concealer for that purpose.
Shelf life of ‘Oriflame The ONE Illuskin Foundation Natural Beige’: 3 years from date of packaging.
Price of ‘Oriflame The ONE Illuskin Foundation Natural Beige’: INR 799 for 30 ml
BABE Rating: 4/5 :good: :good: :good: :good:
Final Word: For girls who like dewy looks or who have normal to dry skin this might be an excellent product. Those with oily skin need to set off the extra glossiness using a tissue paper or compressed powder. As per me, I like the first 3 hour effect of Oriflame’s The ONE Illuskin Foundation that makes it easier to carry in office, and beyond that either I need to apply powder or wipe off the extra glossiness. I would have definitely preferred it for everyday office makeup had it not brought that extra shine on my face. But once I am outside office , I love wearing it for its natural look, even if that calls for extra trips to the restroom.
