Outfit Of The Day: Black Leather Jacket Paired Up With Silk Scarf And Knee Length Dress
Hi Everyone,
How is the new year phase treating you? I had a long 5 day vacation that I totally spent under the warmth of blankets, at home. It was so cold here in Delhi that we planned, re-planned and re-re-planned our Jim Corbit trip but finally gave up on it because of the foggy weather. Who wants to go out in deep jungles amidst this bone-breaking cold! I know, spending 5 days at home also sounds astounding but if you have long pile of work to clear up it might look justified :dancy_s: . Yes, I am talking about blogging. I have been lagging behind on the writing part since last couple of weeks so thought to cover it up in this vacation but alas. Except for a couple of OOTD posts I could not contribute much content to BABE . Nevertheless, for the latest OOTD we went to Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi. It is one of those ‘do not miss’ tourist spots. I wonder how I did not visit this place during last 10 years of my stay at Delhi.Never mind – better late than never  . To start with, let me give you a brief introduction about this place:
Humayun’s Tomb
Yes, you got it right. This is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun, Babur’s son and Akbar’s father. Remember that Pear soap’s advertisement? It is located on Mathura road; I would suggest you to follow the GPS instructions in case you are planning a visit here. The area is quite vast so you can easily spend around 2-3 hours appreciating the architectural work, greenery and clicking photographs. ;-) Inside the walled field the most outstanding features are the lush green gardens with pathways water channels and fountains. In addition to Humayun’s grave there are several graves of Mughal rulers located inside the walled tomb.
We also spotted some pre-wedding shoots taking place there. The timings are from sunrise to sunset with entry fee of Rs 10 for Indians and Rs 250 for foreigners. Unlike other tourist places, the administration at Humayun’s tomb does not charge for photography.
For the outfit, I wore my royal blue dress with black leather jacket and ankle length boots. To add some color the dress I paired it up with beige color double layered silk scarf. While I was saving myself from cold by wearing tons of body warmer I ended up looking like a plump polar beer. Hope you will enjoy the photographs.
