As they say first impression matters, and that’s what I imply to products as well. Though I should not but the packaging seems to have slight influence on my buying decision. That’s the reason when I spotted this cutely packaged Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow And Mood Boosting Blush I could not help but add it to my cart. And, you know pictures are not always a reflection of the performance. Does it stand true in this case? Well, let’s check it out!

My take on ‘Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow And Mood Boosting Blush’
The blush comes packed in a fluorescent fuchsia cardboard case that contains details about the product. The blush container has interesting multi-layered compartments- one contains the pressed powdered blush, the other contains an inbuilt mirror and a little brush. Little brush is unique in terms of color and thick bristles, and I think it’s actually better than conventional blush brushes. The packaging is quite cute, but requires more caution while exercising the use since it is made of plastic which can easily break ruining the blush.
This blush one has a lot of different colors in it, so you can concentrate on whatever color you want by putting the brush in the specific area. There’s a deeper pink heart, and paler pink areas, and some beige-colored parts of the blush. The small hearts work best when you have to pick the beige shades for highlighting purpose. Or you can sweep across the entire blush compact to get all the colors on your brush.
Pigmentation wise, it goes from sheer to bright pink. You can build up color intensity depending on the look and occasion. Like for office, I keep the highlighter and blush light but for other purposes I apply it in layers to get that nice glow and highlight. It is a powder blush with satiny finish that blends quickly giving a smooth hue. The lasting power is not that impressive though as it fades after a couple of hours. I expected to stay longer but any ways things are fine as long as I do not mind reapplying :)
‘Happy boost blend’ only provides a fine finish with a natural glow. I do not see it making my skin or myself happy so I would say the claim is a bit exaggerated. However, I do not except the formulas to impact my inner happiness. I get happy from shopping and the application but surely it has nothing to do with the formula.

Final Word: Overall, this blush has got really cute and attractive packaging. The build-able pigmentation makes it a nice option for every occasion and the little hearts make me smile every time I open the case so I can say that it boosts my happiness. The lasting power is compromising but I won’t mind doing so for the packaging and for the fact that I can reapply it any time given that it has a mini brush and mirror.
