Hi Friends,
For a perfect skin one needs to work diligently in taking its proper care. Everything has to be thought over and planned carefully. Be it diet, hygiene, skin care products or cosmetic products different skin type has different requirements, and one needs to pay proper attention before indulging/choosing for skin care needs. It is rightly said that the outlook of the skin is a reflection of not only what one applies but also of what one eats. Especially for oily skin, one always needs to be on toes. Otherwise, be ready to welcome glossy face, breakouts, white heads, black heads, open pores, blah blah . There are countless problems associated with oily skin, and if one does not take proper care things can go out of control. In my today’s post I will be discussing about a good skin care routine, which most of you might already be following :-)
Cleansing
The first step in daily skin care routine is cleansing. Choose a good face wash or face cleanser that suits the skin type; a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin or foamy cleanser if you have oily skin. Moving in dust, traffic and sun makes skin dull and lifeless. Face cleanser removes dirt, sweat, external impurities and makeup, which if stay connected with the skin for long time might develop bacteria. Bacteria is the root cause of most of the skin infections, pimples, rashes, and if develops in hair follicles it contribute to acne. Regular face cleansing removes external impurities and open clogged pores, leaving skin clean and clear. Thus, helps the skin to absorb the benefits of other skin care products.
Toning
The second step in daily skin care routine is toning. Choose a good toner, again suitable for the skin type. Oily skin people can go for oil less toners such as tea tree and dry skin people can go for mild moisturizing toners. A toner is a clarifying lotion, a liquid or lotion that is used to clean the face skin. It is often used after washing the face with soap and water, and before applying moisturizer. It deeply cleanses the skin, removing the impurities that even a face wash cannot remove. The benefits of a toner include pore size reduction and excess oil removal. A toner is an essential part of the skin care routine as it tightens and cleanses the skin, leaving it fresh and young.
Moisturizing
The third step in daily skin care routine is moisturizing. Choose a moisturizer suitable for your skin type, oily skin people can go for water or gel based moisturizer and dry skin people can go for oil or cream based moisturizers. Irrespective of the skin type, this is a must-do step. Our skin’s natural oil called sebum is produced by sebaceous glands. This forms a natural oil layer on our skin that acts as a protection against dirt and impurities. When we wash our face this layer this protective layer is striped off, leaving our vulnerable to impurities. By cleansing our faces with a gentle soap and toner, and then applying a layer of moisturizer, we keep our skin hydrated and healthy. People with oily skin should not miss this step as oily skin also requires moisturizer, lack of which can cause breakouts and patchy skin.
Exfoliation
This is not a daily skin care routine step but depending upon the skin type one should do this twice or thrice a week. Choose a mild exfoliator and lightly scrub your face in circular motions. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, prevents formation of blackheads & white heads, leaving the skin bright, soft and supple. After exfoliation you can also apply a good face pack to pamper and rejuvenate the skin cells.
For effective results follow this routine morning and evening, and you will be no more out of reach from a lovely, healthy glowing soft skin. Afterall no pains no gains
