Hey girls, today I am reviewing ‘Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polishes’ in shades ‘Jokers Wild’, ‘Dealer’s Choice’, ‘Showtime’ and ‘Royal Flush’. This is my first experience with Colorstay gel envy range and I am excited to share the same with you. You will see a lot of swatch photographs for these nail polishes, and I hope you will like them. Let’s get started with the review.

My take on ‘Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polishes’
Revlon colorstay gel envy nail polishes come in sturdy glass bottles, which look resistant to damage. The bottles are color coded with the exact color of nail polish and have long black caps that contain the applicator brush as well. The shade name and number are written on the top of the cap. There is not much correlation between the shade and shade name but still I like the fancy names that are easy to remember. I love the wide variety of shades available in this range. The range has 36 vibrant shades varying from reds to greens or you can say there is high probability that you will get the shade of your choice.
The applicator is very thick and wide. On my big broad nail just two strokes of the brush are enough to cover entire nail beds. Going by that brush size, I feel on normal nails just one stroke of the brush will cover entire nail. I always like thick and wide nail polish brushes as they lead to non-streaky application and save time. With these nail polishes, it takes me just half of the time to paint my nails as compared to nail polishes with sparse brushes.
These are gel based nail polishes, and provide 100% coverage in one stroke. However, to elongate the stay I prefer going for a second coat as well. But if longevity is not a requirement for you, you can do away with one coat as well. The best thing is it dries superfast so I do not need to sit idle for a long time. I can resume my work minutes after the application.
Revlon colorstay gel envy nail polishes are formulated to have base coat as well that means I do not need to apply an additional base coat, which is again a time & money saver. Even when I applied bright shade like ‘Showtime’ and ‘Royal Flush’ I did not need to apply any base coat underneath. When removed the polishes the color has not seeped into my nail beds. This is another good thing I liked about these polishes.
The salon like shine and smooth finish enhance the beauty of the nails and give them a professionally polishes look. Also, because of the gel base these polishes stay on for 4-5 days without chipping of the nails. During this span I did not even notice any fading or lessening of the glossy shine. Overall, I just love these nail polishes.

Final Word: Revlon colorstay gel envy nail polishes have color+base coat. You do not need to invest in additional base coat if you are using these nail polishes. Plus, apply just the nail polish and top coats saves time and results in quicker application. The salon like shine and smooth finish give nails professionally manicured look, and because these nail polishes have gel texture so they last long without wearing and tearing from the tips of nails. I highly recommend these nail polishes if you are looking for something salon-like and cannot afford to spend a lot of time in application.
