Today, I am reviewing Seasoul Makeup Dual Eyeshadow Dark Purple Light Purple. ‘Seasoul Cosmetics’ is a well-known name in skin care because of their sea-minerals ingredients. Recently, they also launched makeup products including dual eyeshadow palettes. I got one of these palettes in May 2016 Fab bag,and was pretty excited to try out the shades. Let’s see how I find this palette.
What the product says:
A dual eyeshadow with a combination of light Purple matte shade and Dark Purple shimmer shade.
My take on ‘Seasoul Makeup Dual Eyeshadow Dark Purple Light Purple’
Seasoul makeup eyeshadows come in an oval shape matte black case. It is a dual eyeshadow case with inbuilt mirror, which is quite clear and can be easily used to apply these eyeshadows. Usually, I do my makeup using a big enough mirror but this inbuilt mirror will be helpful when I am on the go. This compact case does not contain any brush, which is not a problem when I am carrying the brush case else I have to apply the eyeshadows using the fingertips. Nevertheless, the shade name, number and price are mentioned on the back of the case. However, I could not find the ingredient list anywhere on the web sphere. Keeping that aside, I love the sturdy packaging and the cuteness it has.
This is a dual eyeshadow case with shade number SS11. It contains dark purple and light purple shades. The dark one looks like matte but has some purple shimmer in it. The shimmer though is not visible when it is applied on the eyelids. On the other side, the light purple shade has tons of golden shimmer to it and when it is applied on the eyelids it gives a golden look with a hint of purple color. I would say both these colors complement each other – dark purple has a purple base with subtle shimmer and light purple is a golden shimmer eyeshadow with subtle purple hue.
These are powder eyeshadows with soft texture. They are compressed well and easily come on the brush. Unlike few other eyeshadows I have used, these ones do not require damping the brush first. Out of the two shades, I like the pigmentation of dark purple but that is also slightly difficult to build. It shows up well on hands but when I apply it on the lids it does not look like a pure purple shade, it has a black undertone to it. As it has semi-matter finish so it falls out a lot. Even when I ensure to tap off the excess shadow, it sprinkles few particles on the under eye area. The best way to apply these sorts of shades is before doing the base makeup. The light purple shade is very less pigmented, and it is not even buildable. When I layer it up it seldom gives a difference in intensity. The good thing about this shade is that it can be used on a dark base to get a shimmery look, and it will also work great on inner eye corners.
For the staying power & intactness, I would say these shadows have got solid intactness. I have oily eyelids so eyeshadows have a tendency to crease or settle in the lines but fortunately I did not face any such thing with these shadows. They did not crease on for good 7-8 hours, and for that entire duration I did not even see them fading. That ways, I am quite impressed with the quality.
What I like about ‘Seasoul Makeup Dual Eyeshadow Dark Purple Light Purple’
– Cute compact packaging.
– The inbuilt mirror is clear and useful.
– It does not crease even on my oily lids.
– The shades can be worn individually or together.
– Dark purple shade has good pigmentation with tiny shimmer particles.
– Tough eyeshades – do not easily smudge.
What I do not like about ‘Seasoul Makeup Dual Eyeshadow Dark Purple Light Purple’
– Light purple shade does not provide impressive pigmentation.
– Difficult to build up in layers.
– Dark purple shade has quite prominent fall out.
– High price.

Final Word: I love both the colors in this dual eyeshadow, and their long staying power and intactness make them even more appealing. I am not quite impressed with the pigmentation as it is not very buildable. Also, the price is on a higher for a dual eyeshadow palette, and I think I will easily get better pigmented shades for this price or may be slightly higher in other brands. Overall, I think this can be given a pass.
