“More is less” is the correct phrase for makeup lovers. So that’s why when Sugar Cosmetics approached me for the review of their newly launched “ Sugar Cosmetics Never Say Dry Creme Lipsticks ” I immediately said yes. These lipsticks are launched in five shades. I have two of the shades that I will be reviewing today. Keeping scrolling to read my views on these lipsticks and see the swatch photos.
What the product says
The SUGAR Never Say Dry Crème Lipstick has a creamy, feather-light texture that spreads evenly on the lips. It glides on smoothly to create full lips with intense color and rich coverage. Available in 5 vibrant, highly pigmented shades that are sure to become your everyday favorites.
My take on ‘Sugar Cosmetics Never Say Dry Creme Lipsticks’
These lipsticks come in typical Sugar packaging i.e. the matte black case in a hard paper packaging. The lipstick holder has the shade name and number mentioned on it. The same is mentioned on the outer hard paper packaging as well. The plastic black cap closes with a sound ensuring that the bullet is sealed properly. The only drawback of these lipsticks is that there is no color coding. So, if you have more than 1 shade from the range you will have to go by the shade name.
So far, following five shades are launched. I loved the naming convention. It’s very catchy and easy to remember. In a way, it compensates for the lack of color coding.
1. Subtle Island – Muted Brownish Pink
2. Dial M For Magenta- Deep Magenta Purple
3. The Brown Ultimatum- Nude Brown
4. Revolutionary Rose- Rose Pink
5. Berry Maguire- Deep Berry Red.
Well, for this post I want to share with you the pictures and my take on shades Subtle Island and Revolutionary Rose. Subtle Island is a n*de shade with a brownish pink undertone to it. It is a daily wear shade that is optimum for an everyday look as well as for glamorous party looks with bold eyes. Revolutionary Rose is a dusty rose pink shade, which is again a flattering shade and looks wonderful day and night. Both the shades look beautiful on Indian skin tones and would go equally well on fair to deeper skin tones.
I love the creamy formula as it makes the lipsticks feel feather light and comfortable on the lips. They glide super easily giving the lips a precise definition. The tip of the bullet is atypical and you might need some practice to define the lips with it. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to apply them as quickly as you would apply any lipstick with the typical sharp tip.
The pigmentation of these lipsticks is awesome. In a couple of strokes, you would get 100% opaque look that is enough to cover even the highly pigmented lips. The finish is between glossy and matte, and I would absolutely love for the fact it keeps the lips at ease. As these lipsticks have cream formula so they keep the lips moisturized for as long as you wear them.
For the staying power, they stay on for 3-4 hours without meals and 1-2 hours with meals. The credit of the short staying power goes to the creamy formula. But I think that is fine as long as your preference of staying power, baby-soft feel, and high color intensity is sorted.

Final Word- Formulated with a creamy texture, baby-soft finish, and high-color intensity, Sugar Cosmetics Never Say Dry Crème Lipsticks are launched in five stunning shades. All these shades are appropriate for Indian skin tones and are optimum for all types of looks. They are super easy to glides, feel light on the lips and provide 100% coverage. I am totally in love with these lipsticks except for the staying power, which is short but manageable. If you use the tissue paper technique, you would be able to increase the lasting power as well. In my opinion, if you love cream lipsticks and want to wear something comfortable you would give them a try.

Good review! Never heard of this brand before. One question though… between a completely natural and chemical-driven product, which one would be your pick Shailja? I have always been concerned using lipsticks that have so many chemical ingredients. In a fear of having a darkened lip over the time. Would like to have your opinion on this. Thanks :)
