Hi Girls,
The day was going very bad- all dull and boring, so to get charged up I decided to go for a shopping spree. The idea sounded perfect as this is the mid-year sale season; before I even left for the shopping I was already cheered and geared up :-) . In my today’s haul I have put my hands on a couple of ‘The body shop’ (TBS) products and obviously some clothing- a shopping trip is incomplete without clothes. Soon I will post the reviews on these TBS products but today I am going to share with you my experience with ‘The Body Shop Tea tree skin clearing lotion’. I have bought this product a month back without any discount and now TBS is giving a whopping discount on it- my bad
My experience with ‘The Body Shop Tea tree skin clearing lotion’
I have oily skin, especially the T zone area, so I take lot of details before going for any face products. I have tried TBS products before, they work fine on my skin. At least if they do not give any prominent good results they do not have negative effects either.
In monsoon season skin becomes awfully sticky so to overcome the stickiness I chose TBS tea tree skin clearing lotion, which is a water based moisturizer. It has a pearl white translucent color, non-sticky texture and very mild fragrance. As far as the application is concerned I take small quantity of the moisturizer, about the size of a pea, and dab it on my entire face. Then slightly using the fingers, I spread the moisturizer and in no time it gets penetrate into the skin.
It leaves a mild tingling sensation that subsides in a couple of minutes giving the skin a soft & supple touch. TBS tea tree skin clearing lotion does not come with sun protection factor so people who stay in the sun for long hours need to apply SPF cream over it. In monsoon season, the primary property I was looking for in a moisturizer is ‘no stickiness’ so the ‘no SPF’ thing can take a back seat for this type if climate. Moreover, if taken on a positive note then the absence of sun protection factor makes TBS tea tree skin clearing lotion suitable to use at night- thus making the skin double soft and young.
I do not have chronic blemishes, just some mild pimple scars. This lotion worked great on those scars, and in just 3 weeks my skin became more even and clear.

Overall great review. But just in my opinion, I have noticed many people, while reviewing any product, tend to forget the very sole purpose of the product. It clearly says ‘skin clearing lotion’, yet there’s no mention if it reduced a single blemish or not. People read reviews to know whether a product actually does what it claims. Please keep this in mind .
Hi Sindhu, thanks for the feedback. The same has been incorporated now. The reason I did not include it earlier is coz’ I do not have chronic blemishes. But I do get your point, so have included it in review.
