Vega Facial Cleansing Sponge Review

Hope you are doing well. This is my first post on BABE; hope you like the review ;-). Of lately, I have tried a new (for me :-) )makeup tool: Vega Facial Cleansing Sponge. The reason I have purchased these sponges is that I have been using concealer a lot these days so to blend it well I wanted something that would do the task easily and perfectly.

The name ‘Vega Facial Cleansing Sponge’ is little confusing – it gives an impression as if these sponges have to be used for cleansing purpose. On the contrary these sponges are used for donning makeup but anyhow you can try using them for face cleansing purpose as well.

Product Description: Vega cosmetic wedges are shaped for precise makeup application. Multi-functional, these wedges can be used to apply liquid, cream powder and stick foundation both oil and water base. Diamond shaped wedge for blending and contouring. These wedges are also perfect for removing make-up and applying skin fresheners.

My Take on ‘Vega Facial Cleansing Sponge’

Vega Facial Cleansing Sponge is available in a pack of 4 different color sponges. These are wedge shaped sponges and come in very attractive colors. These sponges are very soft, made up of such a material that does the blending part effectively without harming the skin.

Some of the colors of these sponges have been kept very close to the shades of makeup bases. I guess, this has been done to give them a less messy after-use look. Moreover, it’s also easy to wash these sponges. For washing, dip them in soapy water for a while, rub gently and let them dry on their own. Do not squeeze them as that can cause wear and tear.

These sponges are available in different sizes small and large. According to the requirement one can choose the size. I have purchased the large size and I regretted it the moment I used the sponge. The large size is difficult to hold and it does not even reach out the corner of under eye area. So the very purpose, of applying concealer using these sponges was forfeited.

What I like about ‘Vega Facial Cleansing Sponge’

– Washable sponges.
– Blends well.
– Can be used to remove makeup.
– Not harsh to the skin.

What I do not like about ‘Vega Facial Cleansing Sponge’

– Does not reach under eye corner area.
– Difficult to hold.

Final word – I will not re-purchase this size as it does not cover corner eye area, will go for a smaller size next time.
