Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch Review
Hi Everyone,
I am not a born diehard user of sunscreen but since I have realized the significance of using a sunscreen there is no parting thenceforth. A sunscreen saves us from ageing, from sunburns, from skin irritations, and from sun tanning. Irrespective of the weather, irrespective of the fact that we are indoors or outdoors we should always make it a point to slather sunscreen. However, we can always choose a sunscreen depending on our skin type such as I always look for a matte sunscreen for my oily skin. The latest one I bought is ‘Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch’; as the name says this is a matte sunscreen with SPF 50.
My Take on ‘Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch’
I was tired of wearing sunscreens that made me look like a full blown tube light, and owing to that shine my complexion used to look 2 shades darker. I have oily/combination skin (mainly the T zone) so I was looking for a matte sun protection cream, that would not only protect me from sunburns but also from sun tanning. After a little drudgery I settled on Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch. So far all the Vichy products I have used have never disappointed me. Going after that trust instinct, I decided to give this sunscreen a try.
Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch comes in a flip open soft plastic tube packaging. The tube is easy to squeeze but the cap does not look foolproof. So I am slight dubious of carrying it openly in my handbag. This issue might be with this lot of Vichy sunscreen only as I have not read about any spillage concerns regarding Vichy Capital Soleil’s packaging. Coming to the swatch part, it is an off-white color SPF cream with non-sticky light texture. The exclusive thing about Vichy mattifying sunscreen is its fragrance, which smells as if you have used a perfume on your face. Personally, I am kind of ok with this property- neither too impressed nor too disappointed. I feel fragrance is a good thing but it demands for more chemicals. If that fragrance were not included in this sunscreen then that might have reduced the ingredient list by a couple of more chemicals.
Regarding efficacy, Vichy capital soleil SPF 50 mattifying face fluid dry touch quickly gets absorbed into the skin. I just dot it on my face, and softly spread it upwards. In no time it gets absorbed into the skin. After the application, for few minutes, I see bleak shine on my face but that subsides eventually. Unlike other sunscreens, Vichy mattifying sunscreen is light on the skin without any sticky feeling. After 2-3 hours it settles so well that I do not even feel that I have applied a sunscreen on the face. The look is pure matte; I was surprised to observe that such a look can be expected from a sunscreen.
Moreover, Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Mattifying Face Fluid Dry Touch saves the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. This protective combo is rare to find but If you find this protection then do not miss trying it out. Since I have started using Vichy sunscreen I am feeling more at ease both from sunburn and tube-light shine. Finally, I am contented that I am using a product that perfectly clubs with my skin needs.

I must try vichy! From the comments, it sounds like the best cure for oily skin. My face is very oily. Where can I get it in Botswana and how much is it?
Its amazing!!! the first sunscreen i have got which doesn’t make my skin oily. really mattifies the skin, doesn’t leave a white cast and doesn’t settles into my open pores. will definitely buy it again.
Hi. Did it tan your skin at all when you wear that sunscreen? Thanks :)
No, it did not tan my skin.
I joined swimming classes recently. Will it work in the pool?
Yes, it is water-resistant so should work in the pool as well.
hi.. is it anti tanning?
It’s not anti-tanning but it saves your skin from harmful sun rays!
