Here is another review of ‘Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color’. I so much liked the finish of these nail polishes that I bought three more shades from the same range. Today I will be reviewing the boldest shade of all ‘Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color Under Your Spell 216B’. The shade-name is true to its color, because it a very dark and bold shade that speaks of surreal things.
What the product says
Long-lasting, opaque color provides 5 days of chip-resistant wear. A revolutionary resin polymer system creates exceptional color adhesion to nails. This resilient polish is calcium and mineral fortified to rebalance and prevent nail discoloration. It comes with a unique, full-coverage brush that glides on smooth for one-stroke application. Toluene, phthalate, and formaldehyde free.
My Take on ‘Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color Under Your Spell 216B’
It comes in a rectangular glass bottle with a black brush holder. The bottle is transparent and has shade name and number mentioned on it. These megalast nail polishes have manicure –pro curve brushes that are wide enough to cover the nail bed in single swipe. Usually, they do not shed off any bristles but I did notice a couple of bristles on my nails when I was working with this brush. It looks like a manufacturing defect as I have not noticed any such thing with my previous ‘Wet n wild megalast nail polish’ brushes.
“Under your spell” is a brown shade with black base and red shimmer. If you are a fan of dark shades you will love this color. I love brown nail colors but not so bold ones, also in my opinion this shade won’t go well on all skin tones. The red shimmer particles are not visible indoors, but under broad daylight or flashlight these particles glisten well.
The finish is smooth and non-streaky. As a single brush swipe covers entire nail bed so that does not lead to brush marks, on the contrary it gives fine finish. The shimmer particles are infused in the formula, giving a flat glossy finish that does not feel uncomfortable or bumpy at all.
It has good pigmentation; two coats are enough to give almost full opacity. If you want to make it more intense you can go for a third coat, and that’s it. More than three coats will reduce the longevity, and will cause it to chip off much sooner. Unlike as claimed by the brand, 5 days chip resistant wear does not seem to work with me. On my nails it stays a put for two days, after which it starts coming off the tips. There is no major change in the sheen though.
Its quick drying formula is a big plus point for working girls. It does not make you sit idle for long so you can resume your work after 3-4 minutes only without messing up the nail shade. That’s true for two coats, but if you are going for a third coat it may take couple of more minutes to dry but nothing much substantial.
What I do not like about ‘Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color Under Your Spell 216B’
– Two coats give full opacity.
– Good color payoff.
– Dries Instantly.
– Non-streaky smooth finish.
– Wide brush for quick application.
– Does not bubble up at the edges.
– Minimal transfer of color to nails but still I recommend applying a base coat beneath it.
What I do not like about ‘Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color Under Your Spell 216B’
– Easily chips off the tips.
– Not everybody will like this shade.
Price of ‘Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color Under Your Spell 216B’- Around USD 2.29
BABE Rating: 3.5/5 (I did not like the color much but the quality is good)
Final Word: Wet n Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color Under Your Spell 216B has a black base with tons of red shimmer. The shimmer is infused in the polish, giving a smooth flat finish. The manicure pro curve brush provides full coverage in just one swipe, and the quick drying formula helps you resume the work without sitting idle for long. Overall, this is a good quality nail shade at a reasonable price, so if you are a fan of dark bold nail shades you should definitely give this a try.
